Swan Masters Fellowship

A unique opportunity for Master’s students in Chemistry

The University of Basel’s Department of Chemistry is proud to announce the inaugural Swan Masters Fellowship, made possible by a generous private donation. This fellowship is dedicated to supporting Master’s students who have faced extraordinary challenges due to conflict or socio-political instability beyond their control.

Fellowship Details

Purpose: To provide financial support that helps alleviate the barriers faced by students from war regions or those affected by socio-political threats.
Funding: A total of CHF 25,000 is available to assist outstanding students in advancing their Master’s studies in Chemistry.
Award Structure: Financial support will be allocated as a contribution towards the cost of your Master’s program. The precise disbursement schedule will be determined in advance.
 

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be admitted to the Master’s program in Chemistry at the University of Basel.
• Candidates should demonstrate that they come from regions affected by conflict or have experienced socio-political hardships through no fault of their own.
• A strong academic record and a commitment to excellence in the field of chemistry are highly desirable.
